If you attended last week’s Enterprise Connect you may have heard Joe Arnett, CIO of Fujifilm, discuss how enterprises like Fujifilm leverage Cisco and Google Apps for collaboration. What you may not of heard was that like other organizations such as IEEE, Vassar College, and Wilson Hurd, Fujifilm chose Esna to drive the integration between Cisco and Google and turn Google Apps into an interface to core Cisco collaboration assets.
“Cisco Systems was engaged with Fujifilm driving a borderless networks strategy when their vision became that of "cloud where it makes business sense,” says Paul Quigley, Collaboration Sales Specialist, Cisco Systems. “Cisco knew that partners would be needed to solidify a hosted solution, which would be anchored by the Cisco Collaboration portfolio and hosted by GETNetrix. During the same time, Fujifilm was also moving to Google Apps. Cisco relied on Esna Cloudlink, which leverages Cisco Jabber to enable IM, presence and unified messaging integrated with Gmail. Esna executed flawlessly and the partnership is set to fulfill the vison that Fujifilm has laid out."
